Professor Emeritus Innes Asher FRACP ONZM, University of Auckland, was Respiratory Paediatrician, Starship Children's Hospital in Auckland until her retirement in 2020. In 2007 she was awarded the Health Research Council of NZ Liley Medal for her research leadership. She has been the chair of worldwide asthma research studies for 30 years: since 1992 - 2012 of ISAAC - the International Study of Asthma and Allergies in Childhood - and 2012 - 2022 of the Global Asthma Network (GAN). She is passionate to see policies which enable all children to reach their potential wherever they live in the world.
